The shield is a TIA Performance Certified Program that is a recognized Best Practices program of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) with guaranteed levels of freight payment. FMI currently maintains a level of $100,000.

What are the characteristics of a Performance Certified Broker?

• TIA members in good standing adhere to the strict TIA Code of Ethics.
• Maintain a credit score from TransCredit or First Advantage of 90% or better.
• Use written agreements.
• Maintain insurance coverage.
• Maintain a verified broker bond.
• Maintain written carrier qualification framework.
• Maintain higher levels of bond issued by TIA Surety and Avalon Risk Management.
