Our Team
Joseph M. Mayo - President
630-627-6560 Ext. 8600 - jmayo@gofmi.com
Joe Sr., as he is referred to, is President and CEO. He got his start in trucking in 1975 shortly after finishing a stint in the U.S. Army.
He purchased his first truck and became an owner/operator for several different trucking companies before starting his own company in 1980, thanks largely in part to the deregulation of the transportation industry. As the company grew, Joe believed in a "Commitment to Excellence" along with being fair and respectful to both customers and employees. In 2000 the company became a non-asset based 3PL. Joe still has great respect for the companies that are asset based and believes in treating them with fairness and honesty. Now with both of his sons in the business, the company is looking to expand into new horizons. After 37 years in the business Joe is still excited about the future of Freight Management.
